WebCentral Pty Ltd
In early 1997, Lloyd saw a growing need in the Australian market for internet services designed specifically for businesses. In response, he established WebCentral to provide business web hosting. WebCentral is now Australia’s largest web hosting company, with more than 60,000 sites and domains under management and annual revenues in excess of $40 million.
In 2004, Lloyd and fellow shareholders sold their remaining stakes in Web Central to its existing significant shareholder FTR Holdings Limited for $19.6 million, which valued the WebCentral business at more than $40m.
